Polka Face

Spotted this knitted grandpa sweater sometime last year at a thrift store in Bakersfield and it is still one of my most favorite pieces in my wardrobe- I've worn it as a dress, over cigarette jeans, and layered under fur coats in the winter.

I've already began Christmas shopping and it isn't even Thanksgiving yet! I'd like to say that I am the greatest "stocking stuffer-er" ever.

Beaded Robe

Got this incredible robe a while back and never really got around to wearing it because it's kind of heavy, but I am so in love with its detailing and beautifulness that I figured might as well wear it today since there is no point of letting sit in my closet. I also scored these Nina Ricci python pumps on Ebay for a ridiculously low price and had to have them after I spotted a pair of mind-blowing Nina Ricci bow pumps on some streetstyle site!

One of my best friends is in town so I'm going to go get some dinner (penne pasta preferably) and cuddle with her...

Hope you guys are having a great weekend!

Halloweenie

Headed up to Bakersfield this weekend to spend some time with my cousins and family--had so much fun, but now I am so drained!
After doing some thrifting, we headed to this ranch market that had everything from fried pork skins (perfect for clogging your arteries) to sterling silver jewelry...
I wore a vintage striped wool blazer, Zara silk trousers, and Prada pumps
My new favorite snack- Crema con bionico
My brother won't take that damn Yankees hat off!
Minnie mouse shoes and vintage silk blazer

And finally... my costume! I wanted an excuse to wear this black floor-length dress I found in Paris, so I decided to be a gothic princess! It was so funny because when I arrived at my cousin's costume party, I kind of felt like Lindsay Lohan in "Mean Girls" when she shows up to a party full of sexy bumble bees and kitty cats dressed as a dead bride... I was the dead bride.
Sorry for the random photos- didn't really get a chance to take good outfit shots! Anyway, hope everyone had a good Halloween!

Shooting Light

Lately I've developed this obsession with tacky gem-encrusted earrings-- they go perfect with unfeminine pieces like a pair of vintage patchwork Levi's or an oversized men's Lanvin blazer.

Anyway, dressing up for Halloween has proven to be harder than I thought. I was thinking of maybe dressing up as the Grinch or a Juicy Couture princess, but I'm not really sure. Maybe I should be a sexy kitten or something this year since I've always been something embarrassing and ridiculously silly!
